Essentia is wearable jewellery that explores the role of scent in human well-being. It allows a person to apply aromas to maintain and
improve one’s welfare.

Essentia strives to address the underlying and layered value of the human sense of smell in the current daily unimportance of
our olfactory sense. It encourages the public to trust their
primitive “mute instinct” to navigate and improve their well-being -while exploring the power of aromas and memory.

The aim of essentia is to identify the potential effect and use posed by aromas derrived from everyday objects. To this, smell offers enriched possibilities for human experience. The goal is to create user experience that combines scientific knowledge, technology, and the olfactory sense.

This case study shows the approach of essentia from an e-commerce perspective.
